Looking Beyond Ourselves

Michael WilliamsonIn obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), Bulli Anglican has a rich history of sharing the gospel outside our church walls. The first generation of Christians meeting here in 1882 looked beyond and established new local churches at Corrimal, Thirroul, Austinmer, Coledale, Scarborough, and Stanwell Park all by 1909; and Woonona by 1926. Since then, we’ve looked even further afield into world mission.

What about us? Along with our prayers, this current generation of Bulli Anglican Christians sends the first 10% of all weekly offertory received, to support world mission. Since 2016 we’ve also sent 3 of our member families into long-term world mission (Warth, French & Nichols families). We support world mission through them by regular prayer and finances.

Thanks to your increased generous offertory giving in 2021, this year we have been able to expand our world mission support, to now include an Anglican Aid Sponsored Bible College Student:  Daniel Oruko Seda, is studying for a Diploma of Theology at Munguishi Bible College in Tanzania. Daniel is 45 years old, is married to Evaline with three children: Ruth, Shadrack and Baraka. Daniel was converted in 1998 at an outreach event in their village of Ng’ope. If successful in his 2 years of study, Daniel hopes to serve as a minister in his local Anglican Diocese of Rorya.

Please include Daniel and his family in your prayers, and ongoing financial support of the Great Commission through Bulli Anglican Church.
